Nyasha holds a Ph.D. in Social Studies (Demography), MSc in Population Studies, BSc in Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Certificate in Mass Communications from Zimbabwe Institute of Mass Communications. She is a renowned consultant with over 25 years’ experience in HIV and AIDS development work focusing on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), HIV prevention, care and treatment; research and evaluation; development of Reports (e.g. MICS); strategy development; documentation of best practices; material development; and capacity development. She is an expert in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies (basic research, baseline surveys, rapid and needs assessments, KAP surveys, mid-term and end of project reviews/evaluations mainly in SRHR; HIV and AIDS; and child health programmes/projects) inclusive of vulnerable populations (orphans and vulnerable children; adolescents and young people, people living with disability, and communities in hard-to-reach areas). Nyasha has worked extensively with national, regional, and international organisations, including the SADC Secretariat, UN agencies, International NGOs, and government ministries and institutions in sub-Saharan Africa.
